If you run programmes, projects or processes, there’s a good chance that you’ve wanted to build a dashboard to manage them and communicate about them. We developed PPP Dashboard Tools to make it easier!

The PPP Dashboard Tools help you create, maintain and share dashboards.  We’ve packaged the tools we use most often into a single Excel file, so that you retain the immense power of Excel, AND there’s a robust framework to make it easier and quicker to use.

Even better:  They’re F-R-E-E!  You get:

  • PPP Dashboard Tools, Sample Dashboards, and a FULL USER MANUAL describing how to use each of the functions.  (There’s a shortcut guide in the back too!)
  • Planned() and Expected() functions – these add to the native NETWORKDAYS.INTL() and WORKDAY.INTL() functions to make them easy to use for  planning and delivery management.
  • A simplified approach to heat-mapping that makes it easy to useExcel’s conditional formatting to show status or progress.
  • A simplified approach showing BRAG signals (Blue Red Amber Green).  This works for both the letters ‘B-R-A-G’ and for the Planned() and Expected() functions.
  • Gantty() and Gantty formatting – it’s not a replacement for MS Project, but it will help you display Gantt-like time maps.
  • Auto lock-down on Save – usually you want to keep some dashboard content away from the majority of reviewers, so the PPP Dashboard Tools automatically hides specified worksheets and password-protects visible content when you save.
  • Spreadsheet ‘Folding’ – this works in concert with filtering and groups, to allow you to hide and expose content by type and detail level.  Very useful, very powerful!
  • The KB() function – which stands for ‘Keep Blanks’ – this assists you in producing custom reports from your dashboard data – it’s simple, but facilitates a very powerful practise: the separation of data and presentation.  It solves a lot of problems!
  • Last but by no means least:  The ZoomBox – This brings the contents of cells containing text up into a dialog box, and significantly enhances the usablility of Excel!
